Frequently asked questions

What is biligist?

biligist is a text-focused social media platform. Writings are shared under trending topics, and # tags let you move between subjects. In Studio you write long texts (works) and create aphorisms.

Is membership paid? Who can join?

Membership is free. You must be at least 18 to register; the full membership conditions are in the Terms of Service.

What do entry, topic and tag mean?

A topic is a page that opens a subject; an entry is a text written under a topic. Words in entries that start with # are tags; tap a tag to see the entries and works that carry it together.

What is Studio?

Studio is biligist's writing workshop: works (long texts) are written, edited and published, and single-page aphorism cards are created. You can open Studio in the app; public publications can be read without signing in.

Who can see what I publish?

Entries by masters and sages and Studio publications are public, and search engines can see them too. Entries and publications by new (novice) members are visible only to members and closed to search engines; a novice entry becomes public once a master or sage approves it. Drafts are visible only to you.

Why don't messages open on the web?

biligist Messenger is end-to-end encrypted and, for security, works only in the mobile and desktop apps; it is closed in web sessions and mobile browsers.

I saw content that breaks the rules; how do I report it?

Use the Report button next to the content. Content from reports found to be justified is removed within the legal time limits; the reporting channel and address for your region are in the Terms of Service.

How is my personal data processed?

Which data is processed for what purpose, your rights over your data and the contact address are explained for your region in the privacy notice.

How do I keep my account safe?

Do not share your login details with anyone. You are responsible for actions taken through your account; if you suspect unauthorized access, tell us without delay.
